The partner school's campus building and bus in Belmopan, Belize
Mission:

Belmopan

Your school is invited to partner with a Christian high school in Belmopan to serve with your hearts, hands, and minds. Local leaders continuing a legacy of faithful Christian education have asked—in hope of building a lasting partnership—for one school to help meet physical and educational needs.

Will your school consider saying yes?

About This Community

Belmopan, Cayo District

The partner school is located in the capital city of Belmopan, in the Cayo District of Belize. Belmopan is a young and vibrant city and the seat of the national government. The school is home to students from across Belize, with a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities. Belize as a whole has severe educational needs, and even high school graduates often fail to pass certain educational standards.

The school's new principal, along with her 20 other teaching staff, is committed to meeting the needs of their students and equipping them for a successful future. The school itself is a hub of community life, with a strong focus on both academic and spiritual growth. The school is ready to partner with a team eager to serve and provide a blessing to their students and community.

What This Partnership Could Look Like

Ways to Serve This Community

School Renovation

This is an opportunity to teach your students how to serve and work hard. A team would complete a variety of maintenance projects, including painting and repairing parts of the building that have fallen into disrepair. We want to use our deeds, as well as our words, to proclaim the love of Christ.

Tutoring

The students will have the opportunity to volunteer as tutors to meet the educational needs of the students. A team can specifically help students improve their reading skills, as well as provide tutoring in other areas of need. This is an open opportunity to use your students' unique gifts and passions to build relationships and show God's love in a practical, impactful way.

Long-Term Partnership: Becoming Sister Schools

The partner school has shared their desire for a lasting partnership that goes beyond a week of service. Join them as co-laborers and fellow educators in your mission to become a school that serves. Sow into this community and see the fruit of lasting faithfulness in the lives of your students and the students of Belmopan.

How a Partnership Works

One School, One Community

GO Serve builds exclusive, long-term partnerships — one U.S. school matched with one overseas community. We work directly with the existing local church and school leadership here, and we handle airfare, ground transportation, lodging, meals, training materials, and safety procedures so your team can focus on the relationship and the ministry.

Integrate

Holistic Spiritual Formation

We know that as a school leader, you have been praying for the growth of your student body—that they may mature and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord (2 Peter 3:18).

We pray that GO Serve is one way your prayers are answered. This trip is intentionally designed to serve your group's unique spiritual needs while meeting the needs of those we serve. Every aspect of this journey—from itinerary, to devotional topics, even to fun outings—is designed to meet the discipleship outcomes you have been praying for.

We will work together to create a spiritual formation focus specific to your group and integrate it throughout your trip.
