The entrance to Concepcion Presbyterian School in Belize
Mission:

Concepcion

An ongoing partnership with Concepcion Presbyterian School, now in its third year alongside Rocky Christian School.

About This Community

Concepcion Village, Corozal District

Concepcion Village is situated in the northernmost district of Belize, the Corozal District, right near the Mexican border. This rural, agricultural region is rich in cultural heritage but faces significant economic challenges. Many families in the community rely on seasonal farming, and resources for educational and technological advancement are scarce, leaving the local youth with limited pathways for academic and spiritual development.

Amidst these challenges, Concepcion Presbyterian School stands as a vital beacon of hope and a safe haven for local children. Led by their dedicated principal, Mrs. Cobos, the school's staff of passionate educators faithfully disciples a vibrant student body. Their core mission is to equip these students with essential life skills and a deep, active faith in Jesus Christ, ensuring they grow both academically and spiritually to positively transform their community.

What This Trip Focused On

Ways This Team Served

Replace and Expand the School Awning

Currently, the school has only one shaded outdoor spot, and its awning is severely rusted out and structurally unsound. Our primary goal is to fully replace and expand this awning to provide a safe, spacious area where children can be sheltered from the intense sun. Depending on the remaining ministry budget, we also hope to build custom tables underneath the awning, paint an encouraging mural in the computer lab, install air conditioning, and hand-deliver eight additional laptops to complete their new technology center.

Village Outreach

Step outside the school walls and go to the next level of community engagement by partnering directly with the ministry hearts of the local teachers to reach their neighbors. Your team will walk alongside these passionate educators to connect with the community and share the life-transforming message of the gospel directly in the homes of local families. This deeply relational outreach will culminate in a high-energy community bonfire, drawing the village together to experience the love of Christ through worship, fellowship, and powerful testimonies.

Long-Term Partnership

This partnership enters its third year of mutual blessing. By returning to serve alongside Concepcion Presbyterian School, Rocky Christian School plays an integral role in finishing critical school facilities and helping break new ground in community relational outreach.

Integrate

Holistic Spiritual Formation

We know that as a school leader, you have been praying for the growth of your student body—that they may mature and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord (2 Peter 3:18).

We pray that GO Serve is one way your prayers are answered. Every trip is intentionally designed to serve your group's unique spiritual needs while meeting the needs of those we serve, with every aspect—from itinerary, to devotional topics, even to fun outings—built to meet the discipleship outcomes you have been praying for.

We work together to create a spiritual formation focus specific to your group and integrate it throughout your trip.
