Corvallis
Your school is invited to partner with a passionate, visionary church-planting ministry in Corvallis, Oregon. Local leaders, who are faithfully working to spark a movement of disciples, have asked for your group's help to bring hope and light to a post-Christian city, with the hope of building a lasting partnership.
Will your school consider saying yes?
Corvallis, Oregon
Nestled in the beautiful Willamette Valley, Corvallis is a university town of approximately 65,000 people, known for its vibrant culture and stunning natural scenery, located near the coast and Oregon mountains. Despite its beauty, the region is overwhelmingly secular and post-Christian, with over 50% identifying as religiously unaffiliated. This creates a challenging spiritual environment where many residents struggle with issues of depression, meaning, and identity.
A church-planting ministry in the area is a front-lines ministry led by a husband-and-wife missionary team, focused solely on reaching those who will not enter traditional church walls. They are working to plant small house churches and see a movement of disciples emerge from the unchurched population of Corvallis and the entire West Coast. The ministry is praying for a spiritual revival and for men and women from the university and city to encounter Jesus, practice obedience, and share Him with the world.

Ways to Serve This Community
Community Service Projects
You will demonstrate the gospel through tangible acts of service by executing community outreach projects. This will minister to the city as well as believers and non-believers alike. This hands-on work builds trust and provides a powerful witness of God's love.
Strategic Evangelism & Push Week Support
Your short-term team will join a concentrated "push week" where regional missionaries unite to focus efforts in Corvallis and Portland. You will work alongside local believers, engaging in relational and street evangelism to share your testimonies and provide critical momentum to jumpstart growth.
Long-Term Partnership: A Partnership of Prayer & Ongoing Encouragement
The primary long-term need is continual prayer and encouragement for the local workers. Operating in such a dark place often leads to despair. A partnership that returns year after year provides a powerful spiritual covering, an infusion of manpower, and the necessary inertia to sustain the movement.
