Thatched-roof homes in the Hope Creek community in Belize
Mission:

Hope Creek

An ongoing partnership with the partner school in Hope Creek, Belize, focused on technical club mentorship and youth outreach in the nearby community of Pomona.

About This Community

Hope Creek, Stann Creek Valley

Known as the "gateway" to the Stann Creek Valley, Hope Creek is a vital inland hub of 1,500 residents where the agricultural backbone of Belize meets a diverse "melting pot" of Mestizo, Garifuna, Maya, and Creole cultures. Nestled at the foot of the Maya Mountains, this resilient community is currently navigating an economic transition as the historic citrus industry faces challenges, forcing a shift toward diversifying crops like cacao and coconuts. Despite these shifts, a vibrant "front-porch" culture and a deep spiritual landscape—where local churches serve as the primary social safety net—define the daily life of this vital geographic corridor.

The partner school is led by its visionary principal, a leader who believes that education must extend far beyond the four walls of a classroom. Her mission is to prepare children for life by teaching them the Gospel alongside practical trades. From woodworking to gardening, the school fosters a culture of entrepreneurship and self-reliance, all while hosting powerful weekly chapel services where students are empowered to lead one another in the worship of Jesus.

What This Trip Focused On

Ways This Team Served

Technical Club Mentorship

Youth Outreach & Revival

Your students will engage in critical relational ministry at a local church in Pomona, specifically focusing on a youth group at a spiritual crossroads. Through intentional outreach activities and shared fellowship, your team will help ignite a fresh passion for Christ among the local youth who are making the biggest decision of their lives: “Who will I become?”

Long-Term Partnership

This long-term partnership seeks to build upon an existing connection between Hope Creek and a partner community, extending a lasting bridge of support, prayer, and resources that can grow to meet the evolving needs of both communities over time.
