Mission:

New York

Your school is invited to partner with a dedicated, action-oriented inner-city ministry. Local leaders at this ministry have asked for your group's help to serve the overlooked through hands-on compassion and intentional evangelism, with the hope of building a lasting partnership.

Will your school consider saying yes?

About This Community

New York City

New York City is a place of immense wealth and profound poverty. While it is known for its vibrant tourism, hundreds of neighborhoods remain overlooked and suffer deep challenges. Many residents live in impoverished housing projects and less-than-ideal situations, relying heavily on local shelters and food banks just to survive. This mission field is right in our own backyard, desperate for the hope of Christ.

A dedicated urban ministry training center in the city is focused on transforming inner-city New York neighborhoods. They actively support local ministries, organizing frequent events for food banks and homeless shelters, but their true passion is discipleship. They are driven by a vision to train young workers in the deep compassion of Christ and are specifically praying for mission-minded teams to join their effort.

What This Partnership Could Look Like

Ways to Serve This Community

Mobile Food Outreach & Shelter Support

Teams provide essential support to local food banks and homeless shelters, helping the ministry deliver special events and direct assistance. This includes working alongside the ministry's mobile food truck, setting up in high-need areas of the city to serve warm meals and share the love of Christ with the homeless.

Relational Ministry & Street Evangelism

While meeting physical needs, teams are also asked to be ready to share the Gospel. This relational outreach might take the form of leading a VBS-style kids program or engaging in street witnessing, especially while food distribution is happening, ensuring every person hears the message of Christ's love.

Long-Term Partnership: Developing Long-Term Urban Compassion

This ministry is actively seeking long-term relationships with Christian schools. They desire groups who commit to returning yearly, ensuring a sustained exposure and training opportunity for teenagers to develop Christ's heart for the demanding inner-city ministry environment.

How a Partnership Works

One School, One Community

A U.S. partnership follows the same model as our international trips — your school is matched with one domestic ministry for a long-term relationship, not a one-time visit. We handle ground transportation, lodging, meals, training materials, and safety procedures so your team can focus on the relationship and the ministry.

Integrate

Holistic Spiritual Formation

We know that as a school leader, you have been praying for the growth of your student body—that they may mature and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord (2 Peter 3:18).

We pray that GO Serve is one way your prayers are answered. This trip is intentionally designed to serve your group's unique spiritual needs while meeting the needs of those we serve. Every aspect of this journey—from itinerary, to devotional topics, even to fun outings—is designed to meet the discipleship outcomes you have been praying for.

We will work together to create a spiritual formation focus specific to your group and integrate it throughout your trip.
